Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 9, 2026 | Last Updated: April 9, 2026
Summary: Neogram is a modern social messaging platform that respects your privacy. We collect only what is necessary to deliver our services. We do not sell your personal data. You have full control over your data and can delete your account and associated data at any time directly in-app or via our Account Deletion Page.
1. Introduction
Neogram ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company") operates the Neogram mobile application (Package: com.company.latrixel). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
By accessing or using Neogram, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, username, and password (stored as a secure cryptographic hash — we never store plaintext passwords).
- Profile Information: Name, profile picture, bio/thought, social links, and other optional profile details you choose to provide.
- Content You Create: Posts ("Buzzes"), comments, voice notes, media (photos, videos), channel posts, group messages, direct messages, and reactions.
- Voice Notes: Audio recordings you voluntarily create and share in comments, direct messages, group chats, and channel posts.
- Verification Documents: If you apply for a verification badge, we collect supporting documentation you submit (e.g., professional credentials).
- Reports & Feedback: Information you provide when reporting other users or content, or when contacting support.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Features used, content viewed, interactions (likes, comments, reposts, views), timestamps, and frequency of use.
- Log Data: IP address, access times, and crash analytics to maintain service stability.
- Camera & Microphone Access: When you grant permission, we access your device's camera to capture photos and videos for posts, profile pictures, and messages. We access your microphone to record voice notes and videos with audio. Camera and microphone are accessed only when you actively use these features — we do not access them in the background.
- Storage Access: We access your device storage to allow you to select existing photos, videos, and files to upload.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, crash reporting, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens for push notifications. FCM tokens are unique device identifiers used solely to deliver notifications.
- Cloudflare R2: Encrypted object storage for uploaded media.
- Pexels: Stock imagery integration where available. No personal data is shared with Pexels.

4. How We Share Your Information
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. Period.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

- Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) and Cloudflare R2 under strict confidentiality and security agreements.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or valid court order.
- Safety & Security: We may share information when necessary to protect personal safety or prevent illegal activity.
5. Voice Notes & Audio Data
Voice notes are audio recordings you create within Neogram for comments, direct messages, group chats, and channel posts. Voice notes are:
- Recorded locally on your device using your device's microphone
- Uploaded to secure Cloudflare R2 file storage only when you explicitly tap send
- Accessible only to intended recipients or participants of the thread
- Deletable by you at any time for content you own
We do not perform speech-to-text profiling, voice recognition, or voice biometric advertising.
6. Direct Messages & Group Communications
Direct messages (DMs) between users and group chats are stored in our secure database to enable delivery and synchronized message history. Messages are visible only to the participants of the chat or group and are not monitored by staff unless reported by a participant for violating Community Guidelines.
7. In-App Wallet & Gems Virtual Currency
Neogram includes an in-app wallet feature that allows users to manage a virtual balance of Gems:
- Virtual Nature: Gems are a virtual, in-app utility currency. They have no cash or real-currency value outside the platform.
- Usage: Gems may be earned through engagement and gifts, or spent on in-app creator badges, tips, and premium customizations.
- No Financial Data Stored: We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or mobile money PINs on our servers.
- Non-Refundable: In accordance with our Terms, Gems balances are non-refundable and non-transferable outside the platform. Upon account deletion, any unused Gems balance is closed and forfeited.
8. Account Deletion & Data Erasure (Google Play Compliant)
You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
In full compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and global data protection standards (GDPR, CCPA):
- Instant In-App Deletion: In the Neogram app, go to Profile → Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete My Account. Your account, profile, chats, posts, and media are deleted immediately.
- Web Deletion Portal: You can submit a deletion request from any web browser by visiting our Delete Account & Data Portal or emailing privacy@neogramapp.tech.
- Data Permanently Removed: Upon deletion, your credentials, profile info, posts, uploaded photos/videos, direct messages, and Gems balance are permanently erased.
- Retention Period: All user data is purged from active databases and Cloudflare storage within 30 days. Non-personally identifiable server error/security logs may be held up to 90 days for anti-abuse compliance.
9. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard your information:
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and Neogram servers uses TLS/SSL (HTTPS).
- Credential Protection: Passwords and authorization tokens are securely hashed and authenticated via Firebase Authentication.
- Access Restrictions: Administrative database access is strictly restricted to authorized engineers on a least-privilege basis.
10. Children's Privacy
Neogram is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete the account and information.
